The MBA programmes offers 13 core compulsory modules and 21 electives that cover the most popular topics in the business world. Students can select courses based on their career development plan, their overall fundamental business knowledge and skills along with their interests.

The specialisation of the MBA programme is the combination of the business theory and the China’s actual economic situation to fulfil the needs, especially the needs from the steel and its related industry. Based on the experience of the digital manufacturing and low-carbon research the school has gained, the MBA/EMBA programme aims to educate the student’s innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, and extend the teaching and research to other related manufacturing industries. 

The core modules related to international economics and international trade were added on top of the fundamental modules to address the internationalization goal of our strategic plan. The elective courses include international law, project management and international business. The instructors summarize the domestic company and Multinational Corporation’s operation experience in China and develop cases that related to the corporations management and practices experience to the students.

External faculty and experts with international background and domestic working experiences are invited to our school to present their management experience to the students. By doing so, the students’ practical problem solving skills are increased and their horizons are widened.

Table 1 presents three levels of the MBA curriculum: tools and techniques, managing the organization, and engaging with the world.When MBA students select their topics of dissertations, there are 29 selectable directions covering 6 main fields including management science, enterprise management, accounting, financial management, economic and international business, engineering project management, see Table 2.
